About Me

Licensed Professional Counselor & Certified EMDR Therapist

My name is Lisa Stepelevich (she/her) and I’ve been working with individuals since 2014. In my approach as a therapist, I am focused on attuning to your inner experiences to encourage expression and coherency of those inner present and past experiences.

I’ve see time and again how what we think about ourselves does not quite match up with how we feel about ourselves. I’ve also seen the difficulty in trying to tell ourselves to just believe something different. We really have to feel it. This is where EMDR comes in, to help us believe, on an emotional level, those positive and adaptive beliefs about ourselves and the situations in which we find ourselves.

I initially became a therapist because I’m very much a believer in small changes having a larger impact on the world. To help someone get through the day easier or help them feel more like themselves can create an even larger impact on the people around that individual, in the community, and globally. Being a therapist aligns with my own values of compassion, curiosity, and the importance of taking care of one another.
