Frequently asked questions.

Do you accept insurance?

I am currently a provider with Quest, Lyra, and the PA Victim’s Compensation Assistance Program (VCAP). I do not currently accept others insurances/plans and am otherwise considered an “out-of-network” provider. It reduces the time spent navigating the complicated and lengthy process of managed care submissions. This allows me more time and space to focus on supporting you in and out of sessions to in turn be a better provider.

I can provide a monthly statement, upon request, for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. You are responsible for reaching out to your insurance to determine possible benefits.

What is the cost of a session?

My fee is $150 per session. I ask for 24 hours notice if you need to cancel a session. If you provide less than 24 hours notice or miss your session there is a $85 fee.

Rates will be confirmed prior to the start of therapy, and payment is due in full at the time of session. I accept most credit cards through my client portal.

For those with financial limitations, I have a limited number of sliding scale slots available. If I do not have any available when we speak, I can provide referrals.

For more information about cost, check out my fees page.

Would our work be in person or virtual?

I meet with folks virtually and/or in-person. If we are working together, I am only able to provide services if you are physically located in the state of Pennsylvania, as I am currently only licensed to practice in PA.

What is the length of a typical session? How often would we meet?

The length of a session is typically 55 minutes in length. I recommend meeting weekly when we initially start working together and in time moving sessions to a bi-weekly or monthly basis.

What will our first session be like?

Once we chat to see if we are a good fit, we’ll schedule our first session. During this session we’ll review intake forms, discuss goals you have for therapy, and I’ll ask you questions about your history and yourself. The first few sessions are still a time when we are getting to know each other and what our work might be like together.
